Contracting through PWR People

We work with contractors on PAYE, umbrella and limited-company (PSC) arrangements. Whether a role sits inside or outside IR35 is determined by the end client; we tell you the status alongside the rate, contract length and expected start date before you commit to anything. If you need an umbrella company, we have an approved list of suppliers which we regularly use. Timesheets, approvals and payment are kept simple, and we explain the process before your first week on site.

What happens after I upload my CV?

One of our Specialist Consultants reviews your details against live and upcoming roles. If there is a match we contact you to discuss it before your details are forwarded to a client. If not, we keep your details on file (with your consent) and contact you when a suitable role comes in.

Do I need the right to work in the UK?

Yes. We can only place candidates who have the right to work in the UK, and we verify this before submitting your details to a client. Offshore roles may carry additional requirements, which we explain per role.

What should my CV include?

Technical knowledge, project experience, your certifications with expiry dates (GWO, ECS, 18th Edition, IPAF, CSCS and so on), the platforms or systems you have worked on, your rotation and travel preferences, and your availability date.

Contract or permanent — which is right for me?

Both have their place. Contract work usually pays a higher day rate and offers variety; permanent roles offer stability and progression. We recruit for both and will talk you through the pros and cons that are right for you.

How do you handle my data?
